March News

Welcome to our first online newsletter! Here you will find information about what has been going in the classroom.

What’s Up?

This month we have been working on adding detail to our sentences. Students are encouraged to practice using adjectives.
In math, we finished learning about number patterns and started working on addition. You can practice the four strategies at home:
-using fingers
-using counters
-counting up
-using a number line or ruler

By the end of the year, we hope that every student will begin using the counting up method, as it is required in grade 2.

So far, the students have been writing their entries on paper and teachers have been putting them up on the website. Within the next week, we plan to go to the library for a tutorial on typing. Students will then be able to write their own entries. For practice at home, try THIS.
